| Quality Control Chemist 12-WMC-03 Job Description: Wellstat Management Company, a privately-held biotech company located in Gaithersburg, MD, is seeking a Chemist to join our Quality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, validation and execution of Quality Control testing for assay reagents and raw materials. Candidate must have hands-on experience of IR, UV-Vis, NMR, HPLC, LPLC and LC/MS equipment within a cGMP environment. Additionally, the candidate must have experience in the startup of a cGMP, ISO 9000 and ISO 13485 compliant analytical laboratory. Other duties include creating HPLC methods in validated software, and generating cGMP documentation. Qualifications: Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of a B.S. in Chemistry or related field with 3 or more years of experience; advanced knowledge of Organic Chemistry is a plus. The ability to work with minimum supervision, along with excellent interpersonal communication and the ability to work in a team environment is required.
